PureTrack integration – ADS-B, Flarm & Paraglider traffic

You’re climbing in the first thermal of the day. There’s a competition gaggle six kilometres south, a tug coming back for the next pilot, and somewhere in the haze an ADS-B-equipped Cessna is descending into your area. You’d love to see all of it on one map. Until now, you’d have needed three tabs and a second device. But not anymore.

Navigator 3.10 introduces native PureTrack live tracking. PureTrack is the most comprehensive live tracking service on the planet: it aggregates feeds from FLARM, OGN, Spot, InReach, XContest, other major live tracker networks, and – crucially – ADS-B traffic. If something is flying and broadcasting, PureTrack probably knows about it.

Why PureTrack?

Most live-tracking services are tribal. FLARM-only networks don’t see the paraglider buddy over Fanet. Paraglider networks don’t see the GA traffic descending through your airspace. ADS-B receivers don’t see the sailplanes that aren’t equipped. PureTrack stitches them all together into a single feed and Navigator 3.10 puts that feed straight onto your map.

That changes three things on a typical XC day:

• Situational awareness. Powered traffic, gliders, hang-gliders, paragliders, and balloons all in one picture, with the same icons and trails you already use for OGN and FLARM.
• ADS-B coverage. General aviation traffic that broadcasts ADS-B shows up alongside your gliding friends. No second receiver, no second app, no extra hardware in the cockpit.
• More friends, fewer blind spots. The pilot who launched on the other side of the valley, who’s normally on a different network, is now on your screen too.

How to use it🤓

Step 1: Open Settings → Radar & live tracking

Both PureTrack toggles live in the Tracking services group, alongside XContest. They run happily in parallel – you don’t have to pick one

Step 2: Send your position (Free)

Switch on PureTrack (Free). That’s it. Navigator queues your fixes, batches them every few seconds, and pushes them to PureTrack as soon as you have a signal.

If you lose internet over a ridge, fixes are buffered and uploaded when you come back into coverage.

Step 3: See everyone else (Pro)

Switch on PureTrack Pro. Navigator opens the account page on first use: Enter your PureTrack email and password.

Navigator validates the credentials, checks your subscription tier, and from then on, you’re done – the access token is refreshed silently in the background, even mid-flight.

Step 4: Tap a target to dig in

Once traffic appears on the map, tap any aircraft to open the target panel. With a Pro account, Navigator can fetch that pilot’s recent track from PureTrack – handy when you’re chasing a buddy or trying to figure out where the climb cycle is working today.

Tips & tricks👀

• The Free tier is a good citizen. Even if you don’t care about Pro, leave PureTrack (Free) on. You become part of the network that makes you safer and everyone else’s screen more complete.
• Anonymous nicknames are respected. If you don’t want to be tracked with your name, Navigator & PureTrack respect that.
• No duplicate aircraft. PureTrack & Navigator filter out duplicate FLARM, OGN, and Naviter IDs on the way in, so you don’t see the same glider twice when a connected FLARM or your own Naviter device is already supplying it.
• High-altitude jets are auto-hidden, so airline traffic doesn’t clutter the map while you’re working on a low save.
